Most important document was a Declaracion de Baja, (NB must be less than a month old when submitted), obtained from the British Consulate for 30€, this effectively reduce the import tax liability from 12% to 4%, I would never have heard of it if my Gestor had not pointed out the savings ( My bill otherwise would have been approx 1400€!!!)

Yes if you register your vehicle within 30 days of taking residency there is no tax to pay anyway
Unfortunately I had to register at Padron before my UK car was ready (as I bought a Spanish Car also). Cars 11 years old but I can't part with it!!

Hi, My partner and I have now changed around 100 cars in Chiclana. PM me and I will send you an A4 sheet of the paperwork you need. We reckon that it normally takes around three weeks and costs up to 650 euros plus headlights. There have been other threads on this subject if you want to go ahead. There are many ladies that prefer right hand drive around here as the ditches are not protected by the side of the narrow roads Dave

Hi,
When transfering to spanish plates can i ITV a UK registered car on the UK docs, before completing with a gestor. The only reason i ask is that we were still waiting for my wifes green doc on her spanish car when we recently tried to ITV and were told we could not on tempory cert from Gestor, our gestor issued another 60 day temp cover until new docs arrive.
