Default Spanish lessons

I'm looking for feedback on learning/improving Spanish as a non resident. In our area at home the language classes seem to have dried up so I'm thinking an intense course that I could cram into a trip possibly in November would be good. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Jon BX did an intensive course in Laguna Plaza a few years ago you could ask him.

Hola

The problem is one of retention; the older we get, the less we can gain from intensive courses - a sweeping generalisation but basically true.

If you take an intensive course, how often will you use what you have learnt? The more you use the information, the more you will retain. For most people using Spanish on a daily basis helps retain it.

There is no right answer for everyone; most pensioners will gain the most from a couple of one hour lessons a week, using the information every day.

I agree. I had lessons from Jero several times and found them very good.
