Spanish Civil War - Alicante
I went on an interesting tour yesterday in the centre of Alicante - Spanish Civil War air raid shelters and the museum. They offer 2 tours: Visit the centre/musem and air raid shelters or just visit the shelters - I would recommend visiting both.
Well worth it (4.72€) for anyone interested in understanding more about the SCW and Alicante was the last city to fall in 1939. Tours in Spanish and English - last about 2 hours, need to pre book.

Re: Spanish Civil War - Alicante
Many thanks Spainrico.
By coincidence, we're booked with Inmserso to Alicante next month. I'll check the museum trips out.
PS: For those who might not know what Inmserso is, it's an organisation that offers discounted holidays in Spain to those over 60. It's a way of keeping the hotels 'full' during the off-season.
We're paying €280 each for flight to Alicante from Bilbao, full board, trips included for 5 nights.
