No, my dancing day's are long gone, because of very severe back problems. My Vernon still sings locally with a band leader, who used to ours in the UK for over 35 years, & has retired to our area of Spain, but Vernon only does it when he feels like it, & for gratis. It is a shame because he loves, an audience, & he is in his element, after all he has been a professional for over 54 years.

Of course we are now retired. We still miss the business very much, it has been in our blood for more years than we care to remember.

I've seen lots of young girls usually scantily dressed at the roadside on the N332 between Denia and Oliva. They sometimes sit on plastic chairs, legs akimbo, at the edge of the fields in the middle of nowhere. As they are young and often attractive, I guess they do a lot of business as it's a busy road.

There are quite a few clubs dotted along that part of the 332 as well.

Ok, i have helped many girls escape this life in the brothels,you have no idea what these girls go through,there background,why they do what they have to do,many have family,children,but no choice,for gods sake dont shoot me down on this one,i saved a girl of 13years old,who at the time was working as a prostitute,in benidorm,she had no choice,she had to do what she had to do,she is a lovely kind girl,she is like a daughter to me,and me not a mother to her but,more like a,look enough said.I know i have to be careful in what i say,but sod it,here it is ,dont sit there in your flash villa or appartment and look down on these girls,you have never,and i mean never had a life like these girls,so please dont think bad about them,they are not sex craved,its a need for survival,dont come back with well they could always get a job in asda,no they cant,they are from russia or romania.Please dont think bad,trust me slavery is alive and well in 2008.:curse:

When I was a small child.....must have been around 1959 I'd say, my mother used to put it on the record player Wendy! Still remember every word of it too!
