Has anyone recently needed to arrange a guaranteed bankers draft cheque for a large sum of money (ie house purchase)?
If so please may I ask did you pay a flat fee or a percentage of the amount and if so what percentage?
I need to arrange one and cannot believe the charge Sabadell wants to make to me a client of 19 years!

Yes, I use Transferwise to move money Uk<Spain but I have been legally advised transferring money when buying property carries a big risk. Better to handover a cheque as the sellers sign over the property.

we had the same problem. my wife refused to pay the high fees the day before the notary.so that the sale could go through she suggested that our gestor accept our bank transfer and conclude the sale via their bank account for much less fees .It is worth a go
this was dictated by the wife we use smart currency.co.uk free of charges. hope this help amigo

Maybe try a different bank? When we bought our place 5 years ago, we paid with a bank cheque. And we did not pay any fee for that. Our bank is BBVA.
