Ryanair also pledged to assist with the repatriation of passengers who may be caught up in any future airline collapse and advised passengers that the best way to ensure travel plans are protected is to travel only with financially secure airlines such as Ryanair.
Ryanair’s rescue fare can only be booked via www.ryanair.com/member/spanairrescuefare until 4th February for travel until 12th February, and applies to SPANAIR passengers only.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“SPANAIR’s failure underlines the risk of flying with an airline that is not financially stable. Ryanair will help stranded passengers return home and ensure that those with travel plans up to 12th February can still travel.
Ryanair has the biggest route network in Europe making it easier for stranded SPANAIR passengers to find a local airport and return home. SPANAIR passengers can book these rescue fares for only €49 including taxes and charges via www.ryanair.com/member/spanairrescuefare until 12th February.
“Ryanair strongly advises all passengers to book airfares only with financially stable airlines. By booking with Ryanair you will secure the guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges and can be sure that Ryanair will still be flying when your flight date arrives. With over €3billion in cash reserves Ryanair is one of the most financially robust airlines in Europe”.
* This fare must be booked via www.ryanair.com/member/spanairrescuefare and passengers must bring their SPANAIR booking reference for verification at the airport check-in point. Passengers who arrive to check-in without their SPANAIR booking reference cannot be accepted for travel.

Re: SPANAIR BANKRUPT
You come across as a very lonely guy, keen to befriend anyone that says anything that you want to hear, but I'd choose your friends more wisely, back someone capable of joined up thinking. Málaga is an "aeropuerto internacional" not an "aeropuerto regional" so has nothing to do with my statement, "half the regional airports built at huge expense are either closed or like ghost towns". Of course you knew what I was referring to when I said "regional airports" but you're desperate to score points, it's making you look silly. There are loads of regional airports that I was referring to, that have closed, or never even opened, or have literally a handful of passengers, airports like Albacete, Burgos, Ciudad Real, Córdoba, Huesca, Murcia, Castellón etc. The famous "aeropuertos fantasmas"
