As yuo can see there are no services there, no cafe, no dutyfree, it is too far from Madrid or any other forms of habitation, the cabs wouldnt go out there, the AVE has an official station there but they don't want to stop as it mucks up their timetable. You can't get staff, nowhere to live.
I should imagine it is costing a fortune just for the security stopping the gypoes from nicking anything that moves or unscrews.
As to Sesena, just a pipe dream funded by over enthusiastic banks and builders who thought they were on to a money spinner - but same problems - no infrastructure, no shops, no local work, no transport in/out.
some flats have now been sold at silly low prices but it is a ghost town.
this is what optimism does when it takes off like a baloon, hits tree and bursts.

I'd been led to believe this stuff doesn't happen in Spain.
Like the new €22M Pont Verde we have. Beautiful. Closed now, though.
Of course, it never happened. But I can't figure out why my contribucion has nearly doubled. The brother-in-law of the politician that dreamt up this scheme got his €22M. A handful of people got a few months' work, so I reckon it was all worth it.
