In Spain tomorrow
Will try to call in and see Stu, it would be nice to have a beer with CM, but he doesn't appear to know the Mijas Costa very well at all. We are staying next to Cabopino, I hear that there is a nice Indian restaurant recently opened there, looking forward to giving it a try.
See you soon, that's if CM hasn't managed to get me banned.

Just got back today, the weather has been great on the Costa, with the exception of Thursday, bloody cold back in the UK though.

Lovely here in the west, 12º here today, been sunny all day, I´ve been out walking without a coat on. (sweater on mind!) Tomorrow looks good, 12º, after that, getting colder and greyer! I'll be out for the sunrise tomorrow, looks promising, photographically speaking that is. Christmas markets here going flat out, never seen so many people, all keen to see Santa.

Where I am in Spain it is dark and dismal this morning, with strong winds and heavy rain. I've already told two very disappointed dogs thy will not be walking this morning, not even with their fancy winter coats on.
Nor will I, but I keep going out on to the freezing terrace to check the weather because of my Sunday ritual to collect my weekly newspaper - I wish that silly Murdoch would put it back online for free.
No wonder that Murdoch's wife has left him, the man patently doesn't have a sense of decency. Mind you, not does his strange-looking wife, imagine running after that diabolical Blair.

Very cold at night here in Madrid - -1 or -2 - but lovely sunny days, and at least it doesn't get dark until nearly 6. Hordes of people all around the centre of Madrid today - the Palace area, Puerta del Sol, the Rastro, Gran Via etc.

Re: In Spain tomorrow
My daily walk was a one mile round trip from where we were staying, beach front to Puerto Cabopino and back. All but for one day the weather was great, but I never saw a soul until I got to the port, where all but for two restaurants were closed. None of the privately owned, beach front luxury villas were occupied and all of the apartments had shutters down.
To be honest I really enjoyed the peace and quiet and will definitely go again in winter.
