Being serious for a few minutes, I live in a country in a deep recession and found out earlier today that the country I'm closely linked to has also slipped into a recession, a nasty double-dip.

It's an unhappy situation beyond my control. The only ray of hope is that the pound/Euro exchange rate seems to be holding up, much to my surprise (I'm praying for the pound to rise).

Any recession means that plans for the future need to be amended, and I've lived through a few of them (recessions). Sitting tight is unpleasant, especially when your neighbours are hurting.

Worst of all, I can't even think of blaming anyone. I listened to some of Rupert Murdoch's ramblings today, and I don't like the man, but he's not to blame, is he?
