Default SPAIN Motorcycle Rules

am planning to use my quadbike to travel around Spain. I will come by ferry to Santander and traverse to Barcelona. Can anyone help me with any rules pertaining to on what roads these might not be allowed? Any other input regarding motorcycle rules is welcome.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

A quad bike is not a motorcycle, wash your mouth out now

If quad bike is road legal and over 125cc, I believe there are no restrictions.

If it is on UK plates you might as well paint a sign on your back "POLICE PLEASE STOP ME"

Sorry, I am not a true BIKER, but I am a solo sailor...I did own an awesome MotoGuzzi California for a few years a loooong time ago...I will watch my language.. I have just purified my mouth with a 12yr.old single malt. thanks for the occasion.
We are bringing our quad bike through Spain and Italy to where we live in Greece, this route was done the last time by my fiancee' ...on his bicycle, without problem, but a quadbike is a bit more obvious, and it has UK plates.
Thanks for the information and the heads up!

I am pleased to see you realised my comments were in jest. Whatever floats your boat. A quad bike is a lot more fun than driving a tin shoe box, enjoy.

Speaking of enjoyment, I am rather partial to a single malt myself.

I guess you are aware of the requirement to carry your vehicle documents and papers with you? If you venture into France, there is a strange new law that you must carry a breathaliser kit.

Gees, what next?! no, just going through Spain, then ferry to Genova. thanx No telling, however what the Italians might require!

You might want to ride there? I had a fantastic ride through France via Val d'Isiere to Turin and along the riviera.

great little smiley faces! Yes, it can be a good trip, but we need to do this fairly fast, and my fiancee, after cycling both routes, prefers Spain. I currently live in Umbria, Italia, so we will stop over here and go on to Greece by ferry from Ancona.
thanx!
