As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary

A valid point. The area where we live people seem quite happy to rent if you have pets. There is usually a limit of two!
However, probably in part due to a persons desperation to rent out their house, you might be lucky!
I live in a small community of houses with 2 maximum written in the contract. It didn't stop a rather noisy and unpleasant neighbour recently moving in with four yappy Yorkshire Terriers!
Then again, according to him, if you're not Spanish, you have no right to complain!

we know we might encounter problems but we want to rent before we buy, which seems to make sense to us. We would obviously look not to be close to neighbours and are looking to find something with at least1500 sq mtrs. They are all well behaved and never make any noise. In fact one of our neighbours walked right through our house making lots of noise and they slept through it. Not very good guard dogs I'm afraid.
We hope we will get to Denia at some stage
