Sorry to bump this again!
Apart from the previously mentioned ebay ads (earlier in the thread, and still being advertised!) I have just found an ad in the Costa Levante News, under the classified, cars section, advertising MOT certificates and giving a UK mobile number! Seems you can now officially(!) get an mot by post!
Made me laugh anyway!
