Some Satellite channels missing
#1
According to reports late last night one of the four satellites that carries UK TV, Eurobird1, has suffered some form of failure. Many of the channels on this satellite were unavailable from around 11pm. This will also have affected the signals used by the rebroadcasters.
During the night some of the channels came back on line, but there are still some reception issues with many channels...for example a quick check and I can not get moviesformen or zone thriller.
As this is an issue with the actual satellite, this is not just affecting Spain, but all countries served by this satellite. Yes even in the UK many channels are unavailable via satellite at the moment.

Probably just down to the equinox. All geosats have to go on batteries for part of the day this time of year. Better to lower the power output than to loose control of the thing all together. Tonight the satellites at 28 east are in eclipse between 23:31 and 00:31 CET so lets see if this coincides.

according to reports:
GlobeCast has been in constant contact with Eutelsat, the satellite operator since yesterday evening and Eutelsat has confirmed that the satellite is currently unstable within its orbital position. This is resulting in the fixed uplink antennas being unable to constantly transmit to the satellite accurately causing intermittent loss to all services. GlobeCast are at this time
awaiting further information from Eutelsat who are working on resolving the issue as soon as possible and as soon as we have further information, a further update will be provided
