Hi Jon, I definitely know who you are referring to & I know that you had a lot of problems with him. I will say though, that we used the same person and had absolutely no problems with him what so ever. However, I won't recommend him as he is difficult to contact now, regards Bryony.

Hi Bryony - good to hear from you. Great that you had a good experience. Mutual friends of ours also had some huge issues, as you know. As well as many others.

Just had a thought: Solicitors often take more than is necessary to complete, its normal and acceptable. It ensures that the completion goes through.

So after completing, make sure you contact the solicitor to get back any excess, I know several people who received a 4-figure sum (ourselves included) after chasing up the lawyer.... eventually ...

... and no the refund is not (always) automatic!!
