I'm not sure either. Don't just read about them returning almost everyone I know is going back or trying to sell to go back. Maybe because a lot of people were involved in property sales and these must be almost dead jobs. Don't forget if you fall on hard times here there is not much in the way of benefits.

can you please arrange a transfer for the traffico cops who actually do something about it to here please
desilenced motos should be fair game for getting the exhaust filled with gunpowder/ dog crap/cement...or.... (please fill your preference)
mypersonalfavourite solution to the problem would be to get a cop to stop a bike with boy( driver) girl (pillion rider) and say "sonny, get a bigger, quieter bike or a girlfriend with less fat..that way you won't disturb the nice people around here"
this achieves three things A) makes him look like the idiot he is B) protects the girl's hearing c) he loses all street cred and goes into hiding

I guess for those who rely on an income from the UK to Spain might have to go back now as the rate is so bad. You dont get many euros for your pounds any more.
Not only that with the resession theres like no jobs here at all now. I did a search for I.T Jobs on the coast posted int he last month with one of the big recruiters on the costa del sol and it returned no results what so ever.
Even the "biggest real estate company in the world!" based in Marbella is no longer to exist.

Hi Rosemary
See my post in the pound weeakening thread. It does cause me a lot of problems. Though I do have a good very stable job in Gibraltar. Despite having to make a few cut backs, i'm all ok
Yeah all good, except Gibraltar is soooo cold. That wind is evil!

Generally I think most of the World as we know it is in for a tough time. Better fasten those seat belts.
It is a question of where you think the best chance of recovery lies.
For me, looking at the UK work ethic, infrastructure and huge burden of public debt, I feel the best chance is here.
