My favourite cities in Spain are San Sebastian, Oviedo, Granada and Barcelona.
But then Cordoba, Sevilla, Santiago de Compostella, Bilbao, Gijon and Madrid aren't too bad either. And I've heard Valencia is great, although havent been there yet... Spain has so many wonderful cities to visit

Re: Snow on a Spanish beach
I do believe they had a freak snowfall on Benidorm beach in september, along with snowfall at Alicante airport at the same time. Could be wrong but that is what we were told. Supposedly the airport was closed for several hours until it was cleared, flights being diverted to Murcia.

Re: Snow on a Spanish beach
I knew an elderly couple in Denia who had tried to sell their villa for years, but finally found a buyer. They wanted one last visit before paying the deposit and the couple were showing them round the gardens when it started to snow . . . .

I miss the waking up in the morning and pulling the curtains open to see a landscape covered with snow when you were least expecting it.
