Look at the evidence dear boy, Sky are continually cutting costs & have their boxes made as cheaply as possible. They are only designed for use in the UK so do not need to be powerful enough to pull in weak signals. A free to air receiver however has to be able to pull in the signal from ANY satellite so is designed & built to be stronger than the Sky box.

The proof as they say is in the pudding, you will spend a lot more on a call out & Smart Titanium than you will buying a decent FTA box.

Pace; manufacturered in West Yorkshire. Sure it's good to buy British & all that, but British technology is woefully behind the far east so yeah I'd rather take one of those 'tat' boxes anyday.

The evidence (dear boy) is quite the opposite from my experience, but I will one day try a high end Humax or similar & live with having no EPG.
