The OP is still advised to get a full A in the UK for anything bigger, if he has started getting into bikes. |

For my 125 my Spanish insurers only wanted to see A1 my licence. |

I was asked for a copy of my license when I made a claim. A bit late then to find out then, that your licence is not valid for the vehicle you have been driving :eek:

That depends -- if your driving license is valid in Spain, no need for an international permit. When we travelled to Barcelona, we rent there a scooter and guys at that rent-a-scooter company (you can actually contact them yourself at <spammy link removed>, usually those companies have the latest information about regulations) said that if you're a B type license holder in UK, you can automatically drive a scooter in Spain.
