Have you got somewhere to live in Benidorm? The months between March and September are very difficult to find suitable "long term" apartments for renting or maybe you are going to buy somewhere.
Do you have a job to come to, have you means of income? It's unlikely you would find any work, the unemployment rate in Benidorm is sky high. I know several people here who are desperate for a job.
Do you speak fluent Spanish? And finally for now, you will need to arrange health care for yourself and others in your family that will be moving here permanently.
On a more positive note, .........Benidorm is a fantastic place to live

We don't have to work as we have a small property portfolio and we are locking up our house in the uk until we know we have defo made the right decision, so I will need to secure a property sooner rather than later. But am still searching this forum on info for schooling. Thanks :-)

Don't leave it to long before you secure a long term rental, as I said, it's difficult to find a suitable rental apartment / house or bungalow after March as they are let short term and for holiday lets. A two bedroom apartment in Benidorm will, on average, cost you €500 per month rent plus electric (and sometimes gas and water on top of that) and for that you will need a bank account.
If you live here permanently you will need to prove to the authorities that you have sufficient income annually so not to be a burden on the state, prove you and your family have healthcare. You will after a certain time need to declare your wealth on the Modelo 720 and eventually pay taxes in Spain.
Benidorm is a fantastic place to live with such a variety of entertainment including water sports, walking routes, climbing, swimming. Hundreds of trips to different areas and towns. More shops and shopping centres than you can shake a sh***y stick at. Then there's the night life within the town area

Its very cheap to live here and it's often easier and cheaper to eat out rather than cooking meals at home.
Good luck with your venture, if there is anything specific I can help you with let me know.

If your son is 11 he may have trouble adapting to a local school if he does not speak Spanish so you may need to look into International schools. My daughter was 10 she went into a State school it was a roller coaster of a year but she made it ( not sure I came out of the experience as well as she did!).

Can I ask the procedure to enrol in the state school and did your daughter do well and adapt to the way of life?
