I am on the coast south of Granada.
We have a normal 1.3m dish with an Inverto Black Premium twin LNB.
We use a HUMAX Freesat HDR and are getting perfect signals on all the ITV channels - something around 80%.
The only problems are with 4+1 (4 is perfect),E4 and E4+1 are useless. More4 is also rubbish but More4+1 is perfect.
I don't know if that helps or confuses the issue!

Glad to meet you. Well, you are having the same problems as I did. Just go and change your current lnb to the Inverto twin black ultra. The Inverto premium is not the same as the ultra. If you are in the region of Malaga , just pop down there , I think it is a physical shop aswell as virtual.
Good luck

Personally I never watch E4 so it's not a problem. I can get C4 and M4+1 so that's OK.
Where is this shop in Malaga?

Hi twistedmelon,
I`m happy for you, glad it went well. Bytheway, what size dish do you have and are you in Granada or just in the southern part of Spain ?
At what time did you install it and what reading did you get on on Itv 2 and E4 ?
The before and after reading is preferable, if you can remember !
Finally, try and monitor your signal quality from now until you go to bed.
This will paint a better picture for everyone as ther are many like us.
All the best !

I have a 2m dish and live in the Alpujarras.
Can't give you before and after SQ but I had completely lost BB2 eng,BBC3, ITV2,4 C4+1,More4,E4,E4+1 and Five and partially(time of day) BBC1 London,ITV1,C4.
All these channels have returned and have monitored it for nearly 24 hrs and not had any loss or even pixilation.
One thing.I fitted new LNB in same position as original LNB. I got some improvement but it was only when I slid LNB to closest position to dish that I got this massive change.

I am assuming that your dish is offset, i.e. the lnb is at the dish center. Well, you are probabably lucky you are not lossing or experiencing break up on Itv 1,2 and 4 , as they are the 2 nd set of weak channels. The weakest and only just , were talking 1 % difference in my case is the e4 pack on transponder 10729 v. You say that you don`t really view E4 but you other channels like more 4.
The shop is called tdt professional and the Inverto twin black ultra is not expensive at 26 euros plus 10 euros for delivery.
Goodluck.

I`m in the center of Granada, so the Alpujarras are near , yet far , as they run very close to the costa. No wonder your getting a good result, probably better than most of us who have smaller dishes. Normally, if you are thinking of installing a dish larger than 1.2 m, the recommendation is for a prime focus, lnb in the dish center.
No worries, if it works , great !
Happy viewing.

Quatro LNB 0.2 db Ultra Black Inverto Ref ANTIV205540 €26.60 inc IVA.
or
Ultra Black Quad LNB 0.2 db Inverto Ref ANTIV205550 €41.12 inc IVA
I need a quad which is best?

A Quad can feed up to 4 seperate receivers - ie 4 seperate lines
A Quattro feeds a multiswitch unit - and has HH, VH, Vl, HL that feeds the multiswicth distribution units, which supply more feeds....
So if you just want 4 cables / feeds then the Quad.
If you want to ffed a multiswicth distribution unit, the quatro.

Hi again John & Kath,
Well, your question was answered while I was writing this. A short put correct reply.
I`ll post this anyway !!
Don`t go for the quattro as it is used for multi dwellings, i.e. a block of flats. If you have a single dwelling with 4 seperate receivers, then it`s the Quad black ultra you want. Some people buy the quad because it has better seperation between strong and weak signals.
People also having just one receiver go for quad and the other 3 ports are sealed up by placing f-connectors, followed by their F-protectors to keep out the elements.
I know it costs abit more than the quattro, because I guess it is more common with being installed in flats. Therefore, more are being produced, so the price goes down.
That price is identical to what I paid assuming it`s the same company in Malaga. Add 10 euros and it costs around 50 euros deliverd !
If your dish is already properly aligned then all you need do is swap one for the other . The placement of the lnb in the bracket also has a bearing on signal quality.
Pull the lnb all the way forward or back and then turn clockwise facing the dish to about 7 o`clock.
If you can it would help to know more or less where your located , dish size, offset or prime focus i.e lnb in the center and handy to know your readings for signal quality now and when they start to fade. Off course, those channels on E4 and maybe on itv 1, 2 and 4. When you receive your Inverto , it is then easy to compare.
Fred James doesn`t have problems with itv , just E4. So, it`s not the same for everyone but in general , for our situation, that Inverto quad is solving the problem .
Hope this helps.

Hi John @ Kath,
When you say elliptical, could you specify the height and width of your dish. E.g. my dish is 1.3 m high x 1.25 m wide. All dishes, except prime focus, which has it`s lnb in the center are thoeritically elliptical . However, in practice only those dishes which are taller than they are wider are deemed suitable for a round noseld lnb like the Inverto.
On the other hand if your dish is wider than it is taller ,then a circular noseled lnb wouldn`t work very well.
Firstly, dish size in H x W would be helpfull.
Regards.
