Re: San Fulgencio?

All sorted - job starts in January - just have to find a new area to live, find a place to rent, buy a car cause we don't think there is too much public transport that way and back to England on the 17th December for Christmas. If anyone knows of any places to rent or estate agents over San Fulgencio way (appears to be just inland from Guardamar) or general info a pm would be very much appreciated.

You will also be pleased to know when I was told the salary my mouth didn't drop too far (although OH said my face was a picture)!!!:o

Brilliant. Sounds like you have lots of boxes to tick over the next few months. The most important part is the fact that you are able to stay in the country of your choice. Thinking positively all of this time has worked for you and from what you are saying it appears that the salary is OK so the only way is up now for you both.

I think the salary is fine by Spanish standards but is two thirds less than what I was earning in England:eek: but cost of living is less here - just as well!!

Well just got back from a weekend visit and are thinking of aiming to live in Guardamar - loved the town and the area and the office is a few minutes down the N332 towards Alicante. Hopefully going back next week to look at a few places to rent. Couldn't believe the difference in rental prices!!

Come on Lin - tell all - I saw on the other thread you had been to Guardamar - what did you think? Did you look at any of the surrounding areas? The rental prices are certainly a lot cheaper than here in Albir:D

Didn't really have time for a look around Sue as we had been to Elche to look at a couple of music shops and decided to take a look at Guardamar instead of coming straight home. What we saw we liked but will have to set off specifically to visit Guardamar and spend more time looking around on another day. We'll definitely pay you a visit when you have settled in :D
