Default Rule 10 - What is the point ?

My question on aromatherapy has just been closed by a moderator but her implementation of rule 10 does not make any sense.
A forum is supposed to be a discussion area, where people can ask questions, make contacts etc.
If my post had offered free gifts or prices or a link to a website, clearly that would be in contravention. However it is not an existing business.
The question to discover f people use these products and popular ranges in Spain, is no more research than someone asking best place to live or good restaurant in Marbella.
Expat forums are supposed to be for research by existing expats or those looking to become one. Clearly this rule needs changing or most posts on here break the rule.

I don't think most posts are made by people looking to conduct free market research.

I suggest you read rule #15 and discuss this directly with Rosemary.

There is also a rule which asks that you take up issues of this kind by directly pm-ing a Moderator with your concerns.
