Yes, not a vintage performance, but a win's a win! I think France had about 7 changes, they started as if they wanted to win, but as is the French way when things aren't going their way, they gave up! :D Last England throw in around their 22, England were ready for the throw, France were sauntering up as if they had all the time in the world. Nothing changes, they give up far too easily!:thumbdown:

What I found astonishing was that Saint-Andre replaced both half-backs Trinh-Duc and Parra - both of whom were doing fine and brought on Michalak who frankly had failed miserably in the previous two matches.:confused: The match changed significantly in England's favour at that point.:amen:

Incidentally Tuilagi's ear was hanging off when he scored the try. He has since had 19 stitches in it:eek:

Back on Spanish Rugby, as I sit here wearing my CRM (Club Rugby de Malaga) sweatshirt, my OH has long had a theory that the Spanish are probably trying to climb the rankings in the way the Italians did some 8 or so years back. The numbers in the Alevins and younger at Malaga have balooned recently, the coaching is great (he says - used to play so theoretically should know!) . It's brilliantly international in its own way too... Spanish, French, Argentines, Brits, you name it - and because when they get older they can play in the Spanish teams provided they've lived here three years, there's not too much chance of drop-off in numbers!

Got to go. -Scotland's just started!!!

Yes and rightly so.

Footballers might moan a bit, but I think the biting off of ears, the blinding by poking out of eyes, the stamping on heads and numerous other recent revelations, drops the game, if you can call it that, way below even the barbaric level of cage fighting and right into the gutter. :thumbdown:

Going down like they've been shot, rolling around on the floor in "agony", only to have some Lazarus like recovery seconds later. You're betting sticking to watching the poncy game and leave the rugby, it's far too rough for you.:rofl:

Not at all, in fact I quite like Rugby League, far tougher and more of a mans game than Union will ever be.

Please don't try telling me Rugby Union players never complain, because the never ending stream of citations blows that fallacy clean out of the water.

It was invented so that working class people could play at the weekends and still turn up for work on Monday and earn their wage... it was always meant to be non contact.

I have to wonder if you ever watched a League game after that ridiculous remark.

As for bringing the class issue into it, I would have thought the less said the better from the Union point of view, as we all know that's what it was all about in the first place.

As I said earlier, a win is a win, so congratulations to Scotland, but that was one scrappy old game! ;) Ireland seem to have lost their way, but I'm sure they'll come again.

What's the point in going to a game? If I wanted to fall asleep while watching sport I'd watch cricket!

Funny, I seem to have noticed Union guys kicking the ball off the pitch every chance they get or lying in a heap every few minutes on both occasion stopping the game and having a nice rest, whilst the League guys keep on going non stop and hardly have time to spit. :confused:
