I must have been doing the motor bike sound since I was a nipper, unfortunately I need to work on using it several times in a sentence at Ducati speed as the lady in the link does.
My version seems to come from under the front of the tongue and not the throat. :confused:

Wow.I never knew and there are others on here too.

Spent most of my time living the Derriford Roborough area and elburton and Plymstock area.

I learnt this trick on a language course, and although it sounds counter-intuitive, it worked for me..to an extent...
When you've got a word with a R in it, like "pero" or even "perro", start to say L when you get to the R.

that does work - it gets your tongue where it needs to be

it doesn't need to be there for pero though......... you can say that just like an English R

Born in Plymstock, ended up in Hooe. Still have two sisters there, one in Oreston and the other has just moved from Southway to Tavistock.

I find that most people do not seem to hear any ´r´s that I say unless I emphasise them more than normal. Classic an hour ago was when a lady that I have known for 6 years asked me my name and no matter how many times I said it she just did not get it, in the end her granddaughter told her and then she called me Rosa, so I gave up.

Well, it needs to be a little click of an r. You cant say the r like you would in English
