Rolling RRRRRRR's..

Anyone got any tried and proven ways for learning how to trill?

Everyday I'm doing my wife's head in making motorbike sounds and other odd noises but still don't feel anywhere close to being able to trill correctly.

you'll do it one day when you least expect it!!

but you're right - you're unlikely to ever really sound Spanish - but as long as you pronounce words correctly they'll understand you

On its own it's easy enough to do, but incorporating it smoothly into a word when speaking, without sounding like a right tit, is the tricky bit.

Never mind motorbikes, just copy your cat and learn to purr!

This has always made my daughter laugh. I speak what little I know of French, Italian and now Spanish with a strong Plymouth accent so we are an elite club.

Both my sons were born in Freedom Fields... and thirty years on and living in Surrey, I still slip up and say Freedom Fields when I mean St Peters
