Returning of faulty goods
Hi- just wondering if someone can help me re my statutory rights in returning faulty goods here. I bought a DVD/ freeview player about a month ago from my local Carrefour- it was working fine until I unplugged everything when I went back to the UK for a couple of weeks. When I got back and tried to switch on the TV there was no picture- only sound and cannot get the DVD tray to open either on the console itself or via the remote control. I don't have my receipt- must have thrown it away (bugger) and paid for it in cash so don't have any pop. Can I return it to the store and get an exchange/ credit note?
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

If you have no proof of purchase you have no chance of any sort of refund/exchange.

Go and talk to them, the worst they can do is say no.
I find customer service at Carrefour differs greatly from store to store.
However I doubt they will exchange it but you may be able to get it repaired under warranty.
