Residency
I do understand and accept that to be truly in the system one has to register. Not a problem whatsoever.
Our S1's are hopefully being 'changed' one month before our arrival between France to Spain. Immediately upon arrival we will register as before on the pardron.
However for the S1's do we presume that whilst we give our house details Correos does not deliver. So should we use for correspondence the PO Box.
Existing bank accounts and the like are already in place.
Final point please and if I may. We will be living near to Javea. For residency my brother in law who lives in Calpe says we should register with the Police in Benidorm. Others say Denia?
Then please for belts and braces what documents do we need to take to the Police? If it is Denia then I find it difficult to get around so just want everything in a folder before we leave to see the nice Police man.

We always give our PO Box as our address. If we don't, then the stupid b**s send us mail to our address in the campo - despite giving them our mail address as well.
It's now far easier just to use the one (PO) address.
For the certificate of registration (residencia), I would say go to Denia.
For an EU member you will need form EX18, proof of income into a Spanish bank, proof of health cover, some say you will need the padron (but which came first, the chicken or the egg?), passport and I think that's about it.
For non-EU you will need form EX17 instead of EX18, plus the above.

Re: Residency
Thanks as to the EX forms are they Spanish or UK please. We can provide proof both of capital in our Spanish Banks proof of monthly payments together with UK capital but I suppose only Spanish income applies. I am 70 my wife over 65 so I suppose with the S1's that is fine for health. We also have a letter from the Valencia Health Authority as to the availability of specialist medication for my wife and a sworn statement and translation from an approved translator.
I just wish to get this right first time around.
I am very grateful to you for your help

Re: Residency
Officially all you need is the completed form and your passport and copies of both. Amazingly, you may be asked for photos, even though they don't use them. Best to take some in case.
Proof of income will be your bank statements showing a balance in excess of €6000 and/or regular payments into your account. A similarly large unused credit limit on a credit card is also acceptable. Again, take copies of everything.
The forms can be downloaded from
http://extranjeros.empleo.gob.es/es/...omunitaria.pdf
http://extranjeros.empleo.gob.es/es/...nitaria_EN.pdf
The English version is not to be used, it is to help you fill in the Spanish form.

Re: Residency
I am now beginning to understand at long last what is ahead of us.
Please and as our S1's have to be registered with INSS is it possible to book an appointment on line? as at Denia
Then I presume to the Police?
thanks once more

... around here, the ONLY way to be seen at the INSS is by making an appointment. I guess Denia might be the same.

Re: Residency
I do hope it is user friendly as the user has limited Spanish? French no problem Spanish a bit not not enough to understand commands on a screen. Perhaps I need someone to help me?
