Hi All I am very baffled about "New Residencia Rules. I have various articles about having to change to the plastic card and having permante on it. Then friends go to meeting and are by some rep for the UK government if we have been here more than 5 years we do not have to change. HELP PLEASE thanks

I went to one of the consular meetings this morning and they stated that if you wish to have "permanent" written on your A4 certificate or the credit card size one you can ask for this to be achieved but there is no obligation whatsoever to do so.
