Hi just taken over a gas contract for our villa, does anyone know if Repsol have an online billing facility? We have no post box & just wondering how we will get to see an actual bill?

I don't know about repsol but regarding post - most people in that situation hire a box from the local post office or from a private company. You will certainly need a postal address for many functions (like car tax, car registration, 'residencia' etc.).

I thought that would be the case, but We've been told that things like Car Tax have to be posted to the address which is registered- in our case the villa. I think I will try emailing Repsol or ring them? I assume they will have English speaking section? Thank you for helping

For this very reason, our car is registered (and insured) with two addresses - one for postal and one for domicile.

Call me simple but as you have an address then what you are short of is a hole in the wall and a box behind it to collect the letters and pizza leaflets.

Yes you may be right??? Our villa is on a newish urb, I just notice that none of the villas already built have post boxes-including ours. There's lots of those little metal ones you can buy attached to posts & hanging off the fencing at the bottom of the urb on the main road? I just assumed the positive won't travel up to the top of our hill???

Best to go with the flow then. You are probably more right than me, after all you live there!

Anyone who lives in the 'campo' will know only too well how limited the postal service is in Spain.

Yes, you may have a point, I've seen the post lady on her correo scooter, but only in the 'town', never seen her on our urb which is only 2km from Javea Arenal area. All the post boxes which are attached to the fence on the bottom of the urb are either broken, rusty or hanging on by a thread! Most have months old flyers sticking out, so I doubt the positive goes near them?!

There is no mail service in the campo. We have an apartado. It's the only way.
