Hi and a warm welcome to the Spanish forum on BE. Myself and Fred James are the moderators for the Spanish forums whilst BEVS moderates Europe. This is so that members gain the information that they are looking for and find their experiences on the forums to be friendly and worthwhile.

Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderator who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are usually friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge about the issues of living in Spain. I hope that you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

As I live in Benidorm I can possibly help you with basic information about Benidorm. I can tell you straight away that there are many, many bars and restaurants have closed over this past year so it's unlikely that there would be work available in that sector.
Benidorm is a great place to live if you like it lively. Best of luck
Steve

Benidorm is a great place to have money, however if you are looking for work, then it's like most of Spain, many too many people chasing very poorly paid jobs, a huge number working cash in hand, so no ontract to give you access to the Spanish health service, so you would need to have private health care. Is it just you as a single person? Your 'few grand' will not last you for long, and most of the bars etc will already have their summer staff sorted. How good is your Spanish? if you are not fluent then you start off at a disadvantage.
Thousands of young Spanish people come to the UK holiday areas, particularly those here in the south of the UK bacuase there are just not any decent jobs in Spain, 80% of the hotel etc staff down here are Spanish.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but that is how it is unless you have a job lined up in a niche position, or if you can bring exceptional skills to the table.
