Hi Steve,

"Tarjeta", is credit card so either you withdrew on it or it is the annual service charge!

Regards, ;)

John.

Most banks I've come accross make an annual charge for both a credit and debit card. They charge for the main card and a lesser amount for any additional cards. Not usually a huge amount. Often they make an annual account charge also.

Yes, we found a charge like that and wondered what it was, then I translated it, and realised it was for bank charges.

On average, the Spaniards (and us too if we live here) pay up to 170€ annually in bank charges. Now that is just not fair !!!

hi try complaining about the bank charges or a charge,if you keep at it they may either reduce them or remove one?,i complained about a bank transfer charge banesto made of 130 euros they credited me back with 70 euros,i thanked them but told them if they done it again i would close by account and move to another bank faster than a ferret down a hole!,good luck,do not be a fraid of complaining or moaning about charges they are the bain of complaints.

paris :)

Banks in Spain are notorious for charging for almost every service.

The local manager has a considerable amout of room for negotiation. If you want a better deal - go ask!

One rather odd thing I've heard about getting refunds for things paid through a credit card is that someone I know was sent a refund, it wasn't put back into his account, but the man from the postal service came to the house and gave him the money, in cash, which he hsd to sign for. :D
