Jackytoo - I had an email reply from Lloyds in Gibraltar and they said we could open accounts in Gibraltar but they would be based in Isle of Man - was this the same with you? not having done off shore banking it did worry us a little.
Were your funds inheritance as well and if so was the off shore account accepted by the solicitors?

Thanks SueG for the advise - the solicitors have now agreed that the funds can go in to my account
