Chatting to a recently retired uk solicitor at the weekend who has worked with a Spanish solicitor post the 2008 crash advised to not use an estate agent. The advice was based on the Spanish banks repossessing lots of properties and converting them from debts to assets and selling as and when they can from lists they hold. He said it was these lists that th ‘repossession’ agents use. He believed that these lists are available and avoided agents fees and were guaranteed the properties were legal. Any idea how We would get hold of such a list or lists?

In fact, I know of someone who purchased one only to find out it was totally illegal!
