Processinary Catapillars
I know these little blighters can affect Dogs Cats and Humans , But what do they do to Chickens??
I have only recently become a chicken farmer lol:p, so I don't know how they affect them. Anybody have any idea? Thanks Anna |

Given what they do to dogs.... my neighbour's dog lost the end of its tongue.... I would think a hen wouldn't survive.

They are the worst thing, I would imagine they could do harm to any living creature. We have also had a neighbour who's dog lost part of it's tongue through them and died a horrible death. Trees are sprayed to kill them but many obviously slip through the net and I've seen lots of nests already, they should be dropping about now and active up till around the end of April. That is my observation from last year.
