Today my wife has been discharged from Denia hospital and briefly seen by the Cardiologist.
There is to be a follow up appointment but as there is only one Cardiologist in Denia the appointment is not until December and it is supposed to be urgent.
In the UK one is introduced to a private cardiologist by one's GP.
Can one go direct here please and has anyone any recommendations say from Denia down to Benidorm?
This is obviously somewhat urgent
best wishes

I know it's not in the area you want but Valencia might be a better choice?

Wherever would be helpful. Do understand problems at Denia but if one side of the business says an urgent appointment and then the earliest is say three months later those involved could well be no longer with us.
May now return to the UK to sort it out. Saying that most things at Denia was first class - only problem our lack of Spanish our problem. Denia help only work between 10.00 and 13.30 so they were not there to help.
Did find the observation ward a bit difficult. Visiting for 30 minutes at 09.30 then at 13.30 for a half an hour and finally 20.30 until 21.00

Polyclinic IMED Teulada (Marina Alta) | Group IMED Hospitals: Hospital IMED Elche, Hospital IMED Levante |
You just ring up for a private appointment, you don't need a referral. You can also go to Benidorm where they probably have more appointments, as the doctors tend to be based there. I don't know the cost, as we have used health insurance whenever we have seen anyone. (not cardiology so can't recommend anyone) If you ask they should tell you the consultation costs.
Details of all the doctors are on the site.

You may find it easier to call the Benidorm (Levante number) as they can make appointments in both places. They will tell you the next available appointment in either place and you can choose the one best for you.
