Hi, we are trying to sell our villa in Spain,, my wife is currently in Spain, but I am confined to the UK due to immobility issues. We want to nominate someone quite quickly to act as Power of Attorney for us both. My question is can my wife arrange POA at a notary on behalf of herself whilst in Spain, and likewise can I complete a separate POA here in Spain. Naturally we wil bother be nominating the same person for both our POA's. If this is acceptable we both will not need to return to Spain after her return.
thanks in anticipation.

thanks for the reply, I intend using a trusted family member who lives there to represent us as POA, so need it worded for him to complete the sale, and the relative closing down of utilities etc.

As you will not be in Spain can the POA get access to your last utility bills & Suma to confirm at the Notary that everything is paid up to date. That might sound a daft question that perhaps Snikpoh can explain.

If you give someone that POA, then yes, they can get access to utility bills and IBI (not SUMA - that's a company).
