I know that area very well. What do you want to know?

To be pedantic it is Cuidad Quesada, Benijofar, and Rojales

Thank you for correcting my spelling I wrote the post from memory. I’m looking for areas that have amenities close by, good amount of British expats and not too far from an airport. Do you think these area fit the bill

Way out of your area, but have a look at Ayamonte and Costa Esuri. We also have our own sub-forum so we are an active and friendly bunch. Just click on Ayamonte Club in the Spain header.

Crisis hit means that you get a great deal. Minutes from Portugal (the nearest resto is there), so its a 'two culture package', miles of pristine beaches, Faro lo cost airport is 45 mins by car. We are surrounded by the ocean, natural parks and many golf courses. No industry or big chimneys mean low pollution.

If we had to pick one thing, we would say the 2-cultures is a huge advantage. I also believe that its a good time to buy, as there is a low downside risk on price. Sadly we bought pre-crisis! But we still love it there.

Good luck
Jon

PS we arent too pedantic there, and recognise the content of a post is the important thing

Ciudad Quesada, usually just called Quesada, has lots of British & Irish ex-pats.There is a forum called "talk quesada" which is a mine of information supplied by the folk who live in these areas you ask about.

Cuidad Quesada is a huge urbanisation with great amenities. As you probably know =leftBenijofar and Rojales are smaller Spanish towns close by. All three have grown considerably over the years to accommodate a thriving ex pat community. Property in Quesada is more expensive. Alicante airport is 30 / 45 minutes by car or taxi. It is a short drive to Torrevieja or the beach at Guardamar del Segura.

You could also consider Dona Pepa, Atalaya Park, Benimar and Formentera.

What are your requirements and what is your budget?

That would be circa 225,000 euros in Quesada.
