Default Plus valia changes?

financial gurus, I read somewhere there will be changes meaning increased plus valia in 2015 if selling a house.
Can you shed light on this?

I thought this only changed last year - is there to be yet another change?

Still think it depends on the region and population size + how long you've lived in the property. In a city like Barcelona it would be between 20% minimum & 30% maximum.

I read something about Hacienda removing the taper when calculating the plus valia.no idea what that means, assume the rate varies according to the number of years the owner have had the property?

The longer you have it the less you pay, but 20 years is the max they count, so no further reductions after 20 years.

I think that is the thing that's changing.
I just did a plus valia calculation using an online tool, and the difference in what I pay between now and 2015 is massive!
Unfortunately, many will not sell their house this year, and it is yet another money grabbing venture by Hacienda that will leave us much poorer, after all the money shelled out during the selling process.

It's not about plus valia - it is the changes in the old allowances for CGT on houses bought before 1994.

Yes, it could be expensive if you are selling a house you bought 30 years ago, but don't forget the special deals that tax resident will still get if it was their permanent home.
