Hello again,

Thanks for the kind words, olivia. I try in the hope that someone might post back on their experience.

"University of the Second Age" made me chuckle as I think the phrase is something even more ancient sounding:... de la tercera edad (of the third age.) Hey ho, I'm still young, I think?

John&Kath mentioned the RA which stands for the Residents' Association (aka Costa Esuri Residents Association). That would be good news should a Social Secretary (any further news J&K?) have similar ideas about a social group for outings etc. (I recall Rosemary on the forum (aka The Oddities) writing about her local womens' group/guild.)

Aside from the golf related social groups at CE, I believe there are also the Book Club and the Aone group - both help with charitable causes.

Perhaps residents reading this might provide more information ( or start a new thread ;)).

Oh dear!
Is it the Third Age?? I have'nt completed the first yet and I'm 60 at Christmas!!
Ayamonte is not that big so a catagory of your RA with just 'social membership' for those who live outside Esuri would be great for us to join. Would the Golf Club be willing to allow meetings?
If you are in the U.K. where are your lovely doggies staying?

That sounds really good Sue!

Pentecost Monday 24th May 2010.
" " 13th June 2011.

"Places to go, things to do."
How about a day trip from Faro airport to Lisbon airport by coach? Followed by another mystery tour: Guess where this flight is destined? How about "Newcastle by Midnight" or "Edinburgh in the Rain at 0400h"
To the credit of Jet2 they did get us home.

Buenas noches:zzz:

El Rocio is just amazing anytime!!! Go on Sunday when the Mass is being sung in Flamenco. We did and it was the turn of Granada. Then to Almonte for lunch. Fantastic day out!

Here are a few photos taken last week of the Barrio Reina Victoria (aka Barrio Obrero) in Huelva. It sits above the park of the same name, and across the road from the shopping at El Corte Ingles and Hipercor (a good place of refuge from a day at the football.)
Apologies for poor quality/light; yet, it adds to the Hitchcockian theme.;)
