Mostly the Bell and the Queens Arms (kept a good pint of Abbott in there) plus the Riverside sometimes. Only ever went in the Maids Head when I had a summer job working at the Murrells factory on the industrial estate and for some reason we always used to go in the MH every Friday lunchtime.

Most of the ppl i knw still live there however they are mainly all on drugs.
My mum and nan live in Bury st edmunds now

I haven't been back to Mildenhall in years - in 94 my parents moved to Drinkstone near Stowmarket, and two months ago they moved up to Scotland to be nearer my sister and her family. I was back in Suffolk for a while a year ago and Bury still looked like a pretty good town to me.

Burys ok shops are rubbish though.

My Mum and nan are happy there and my older sis lives in pakenham, which is a small village just outside.

I would not move back there though especially mildenhall xx

I seem to remember the local MP back in the 80s caused a bit of a hooha when he referred to Mildenhall as "the fag end of Suffolk"
