Petition for an Anti-Occupation (Squatters) Law against harm to owners and neigh
Hi All
Please note that a new petition has been created in Change.org and already has over 57000 signatures. This has been communicated on another forum so I am just copying and pasting their post on this forum for anyone interested in signing and spreading the word.
oscar samuel san juan cabrera started this petition to Pedro Sanchez (President of the Government)
Sign this petition now to ask the Government to process an anti-occupation law as soon as possible:

Just as a note to anyone interested .
We have now secured the property , security doors , bars on vulnerable window entrances (ie. via stairwell windows where someone can jump onto our rear balcony ). The tenants family continued to cause us problems as we tried to conduct repairs by switching off our water supply and electricity (they also have the keys to the rooms where the meters are kept). We found out from the neighbours that they are no longer Presidents of the block , there is no administrator , there is no Comunidad being paid, so we called the Police and they seem to have sorted it out (although it cost us 85 euros to have our electricity supply turned on again by Iberdrola contractor).
The water authority seems to have lost track of which meters are linked to the physical properties and , in error, transferred some disconnected supply account (for another flat in the block) to us . They made us pay 280 euros to have the supply reconnected but obviously, when they turned the water on it wasn't for our flat. Absolute nightmares trying to resolve the issues by trying to trace the pipework from our property to the correct meter.
The bureaucracy and costs involved with the Town Hall to get permission to install new windows and doors, electrics , bathroom and kitchen was incredible. We have to do these repairs because the property is in a prime location and could be worth £110k euros if we can spend about 7k doing it up.
The shocking outcome is the truth about the family that has caused us so many problems (which I will not divulge here) . If true it is a terribly sad story and just goes to show there are 2 sides to consider.

I am sorry you have had to endure this situation for so long. It sounds as though you have a plan that will, in some way, pay you back. Hopefully in the not too distant future.
