Thanks - just phoned son and hes got the monitor cable just putting it back on now - sorry :o :o :o

Hold the power switch in on the pc for about 5 seconds, should turn it off, then switch it back on again

Ok ta - still flashing so i think i will just try n find the disk and have another go on laptop.

Yeh thanks SD thanks to Tim - patience of a saint that man - im bloody useless at owt like that :o - think i will get the stuff off thats on it at the moment and get rid of it coz its just in spare room gathering dust and i use lappy all the time now :thumbsup:
