Last week when I collected my medication I was told that I did not have to pay the 10% that I have been paying for the last few years. I was so surprised that I did not think to ask why. Has anyone else had this happen? Maybe it is just a Valencian thing, I have no idea, will try to remember to ask next time I go to the chemist.

I read in our local rag that the Valentia region had abolished prescription charges for all over a certain age and for those who earn below a set amount of money.

Still having to pay in Benidorm though so it's not reached this region yet.

Thanks for that. My prescriptions were free before because of age and I did wonder if this had returned.

Who on earth do you think you are to be pointing out that I am ancient!!!!

Now that is what appears to be a "Hole in one!"

Are we talking Catch 22 or were you being ironic?

There does not seem to be an Ironic emoticon to warn others of the intended meaning, perhaps it would spoil the effect
This all relates to post #13

I was poking fun at those who habitually accuse migrants of being benefit scroungers. I was not aware that Irony was against site rules.
