Paternity leave query.

Paternity leave query.
Hi all,
My wife and I have recently experienced the birth of our first daughter.
I have already set up my paternity leave of 16 weeks, but I still have a question mark. My paternity leave ends on 18/10/2024 but due to being a teacher term for my academy usually begins 1st of October and it makes sense for me to start work when it begins and then use the additional 18 days in other times of the year.
But when I left the social security, I was still scratching my head as to what I need to do to get that into motion.
Do any of you kind souls, know what to do in this circumstance?

You can log into Tú Seguridad Social and set the dates. You need a certificado digital or Clave PIN to do that.
Also I guess it'd be nice to let HR know you're going to do this.
