the pasty returns!!
Hi all
firstly, thanks to everyone for their thoughts about MIL. It wasn't a very pleasant time, but at least she made it over here and had 3 good months in the sun.
We are now in our casa in the mountains just outside Cocentaina and loving it! Trying to keep this post short, the house wasn't all it was cracked up to be, so we have had builders in since we moved in. The ADSL broadband we were promised is non existant, so we have had to take out a mobile internet package..muy caro! All we have in the house is a radio phone.
I will try really hard to stay in touch a bit more now, but if anyone wants a chat, email me and I will reply quicker than posting on here..sorry mods, but this connectio we have is c**p!!

SALLY, oh it's so good to hear from you, I am in the middle of writing to you via e-mail but as with everything in my life it takes time. I am off to UK to-morrow for the weekend but I promise when I get back I will knuckle down and get it sent.

re your phone line - have Telefonica said they will change the radio phone for a "normal" landline for you ??
when we came over it took a year to get a line after various reasons why we couldnt have one, Telefonica turned up one day and connected it - about 6 months after fitting a pole in our garden !!! so keep on at them it could pay off (and it is free to phone 1004 even from mobiles - well it always used to be)
