Does anyone know if you can buy co-beneldopa over the counter at the local pharmacy, this is the only thing stopping us coming back to Spain

If you can't (and I don't know). you can certainly get it through a doctor. You will need private health insurance anyway.

Its proving quite difficult to get resonable priced health cover with my partner having Parkinsons, we have the old green residency which we hope will not be a problem changing over with that can we move over to the Spanish health care system after one year.
If you or one of your friends goes to the local pharmacy would you mind asking

That would probably not help you because they may come back saying that it is possible but a differenct chemist may say that it is prescription only. We find on here that the answer to a lot of questions is "it depends on the areaetc". I know that this does not help you with your decision so I apologise.

Have you been offered cover (regardless of cost ?) I am in a similar position,so would welcome your input.
I would be willing to pay a premium for one year if it allowed me to then go over to the Convivio?

If you already have residency ie the green cars, you don't have to take out expensive health insurance, you can pay per visit to a BP and vet a prescription that way, also the convenio if under oap age until you get an S1
