Not posh enough for some I guess, that's probably why they end up going back to the UK skint.

If you buy what you can afford you can make it comfortable, the only thing I can see against it is if you are a snob and a show off thinking your better than everyone else because the bank you borrowed money off lets you live in their house. I have seen it all over Spain and they all lived above their means, even the UK Gov' is paying for doing that now lol, and you still can't see that it's bad.

I, lots do take on more than they can afford and I have no idea why they would do that other than they have no sense or they like to show off and try to be better than others who do buy what they can afford and have back up money in the bank for when things go wrong, maybe I'm wrong, but it's what I think, why else would they be so foolish? It's just the same as renting, they don't actually own it.

Getting a bit repetitive now, with the "show off" posts, a bit obsessive and boring. Give us a break eh?

Nothing wrong with a Mortgage if you are working and can afford the payments and are perhaps planning for the future, Done it myself more than a few times, sounds very sensible to me, but I am sure it was posted that some one owed 100k and was retired and couldn't make the payments.

All I have said re' this is that I can not understand what possesses these ppl (retired) to do such a thing, sorry about being a little repetitive, looking back Spouter is right on that, (Spanish Brandy) but why do they who are retiring do such foolish things, any body else have any ideas?

Cant let it rest can you?

I was going to let it rest....but.....as you are enjoying carry this on, here goes.

Spanish brandy or not, pissed or not, at least I know how old I am, unlike yourself.

According to you

Pensioner already

post 87 20 years to retirement age.

So I can deduce that there are only one of 2 reasons for the discrepancy with your age.

Either you are telling porkies about your age, properties you own, where you live, your career as a pilot, concert pianist, heart specialist, and whatever other fantasies you have.

OR

You have the same illness as Benjamin Button played by Brad Pitt in the film of the same name, because in a few short months you have become 20 years younger. TOOL

Do the math.......

As normal Spouter doesn't read posts correctly, very quick to pick on ppl then has to revert to old posts to try to justify his mistakes. How long did you spend doing that? I have told you before to read more carefully.
If you can't lay off me, don't expect me to turn the other way.

For the record I said or meant I wasn't far behind you in retirement age you have 20 years, I have 10 now but it will be longer when it's changed, not far before you I should have said, instead of behind.

I am on a private pension and yes I do have a pensionista card in Spain.

Nobody on here knows what my work was, I have never mentioned it, nor have I mentioned my sex, the clue is in the name, as far as my properties are concerned, that is how I made my money in the first place, I enjoy buying property . So tell me where I told you my work please.

Please read post a little more carefully and keep right off my back, I know you couldn't let this drop while you have a hole in your arse, why else did you start it in the first place? If I had made a mistake I would have acknowledged it, pity you can't.

Don't call me and expect me not to respond, I don't call you, I expect the same respect. You have even called your fellow country men and women, you sound like a nice guy.

You tell me what I should talk about with my neighbours, ie/ some God forsaken place I have never even heard of, Galicia great conversation that would be.

Why don't you put me on ignore, life would be better for us both. I think we all know the answer to that one.

Why dont you put me on ignore then, believe it or not I like reading your posts it gives me laugh.

And I presume you are a woman as a little while ago you were going on about how much Rugbymatt loved you, I might be wrong about that, if I am I apologise, I could be getting you confused with someone else, but I dont think so.

I hope for Rugbymatts image that you are a woman because he doesnt seem the type for the other...
As for your explanations, a good old saying is you cannot unring a bell....:sneaky:

Is this the end now?

I don't want to put you on ignore, I like to read your posts, they're not all crap, Just most of them, but you really must chill out and read more carefully then you wouldn't feel the urge to slag folk off, then when you see you are in the wrong and are losing the battle you revert to abuse and old posts. It only makes you look stupid.
I don't claim to be anything on here other than a fellow poster. I try to be polite but can give as good as I get.

Re Matt, again you really must read more carefully, someone else jumping to conclusions about my sex made a thread saying Ruggby Matt loves Anonimouse, or the other way around that didn't make them right, it was just a little light hearted fun, you should try it, being a little less serious and able to say whoooops sorry when you are wrong makes you look a lot more like a decent person.

I sent you K and wished you a happy new year, I don't expect the same from you, you're probably too big for that, I doubt this will be the end of it though, we shall see, but don't expect me to hold back, and I agree about the bell.

Ah well IF you're right, well done;), I can't see how that thread shows it though, maybe I slipped up Like I did about my retirement age, maybe I was pissed for a change or maybe I wanted to mislead you. Anyway do you feel any better for thinking you know my sex? All my friends on here know my real name and sex, you can probably work out from that why you don't.

I can't be arsed to spend time even reading that one post to see where you make the assumption from, let alone scour through hundreds of threads like you must have done, but I will believe you. You must have a lot of interest in me to spend so much time scouring old posts.

I have had your PM and replied to you, shall we keep it off forum now and use PM's? I'm sure everyone has had enough, and I don't really want to embarrass you more, and I might if I spend some real time on you, like you have on me.

Having had a good laugh at the recent posts - keep them up, we're in the blood in the sand section - I want to be serious.

If the lady, or whatever, looks out of her Spanish window at the orange groves outside, she shouldn't just glance and look away. If there are any men in white coats lurking among the greenery, it might be time to flee.

Or at least never buy another bottle of Soberano.

I am not the least bit embarassed.....in fact I think it is a hoot.

I am very thick skinned, and believe me I can take it, it doesnt mean that much to me, not enough that I feel that I have to make up porkies or anything like that, to make myself interesting.

I am not in the SAS, or a pilot, never been in space, or headhunted by a prestigious firm in the city, havent rowed around the world in a firebucket,
or jumped out of a plane with only a knotted hanky for a parachute......

And never claimed to have done that type of thing.....

What you see is what you get, I have strong opinions and say them, I have not got much patience with R.sole who dont go in for joined up thinking,I am often quite vocal to the point of being rude, and often get things wrong, and have held my hands up for that on more than one occasions, and I know if I am Arthur or Martha.......

I don't recall ever saying I was a woman, or working as a pilot, all assumptions made by idiots of which you are obviously one

I dont know if you said you were a woman or not, there are only 2varieties so I have a 50 percent chance of being wrong.

I gathered that you were a woman by posts like this.

Starting at post 130....................it seems strange that you would be flirting with RMATT like this if you are a bloke.

You started by saying that you have never posted what sex you are, I presumed you were female because of your flirting with a certain male member, no big deal.....You are always telling me I cant read, so I decided to see if that was true, and you seem to take unbrage.......

I've just had to move 3 pages off posts from the original thread.

It's out of order. Swearing and name calling and personal attacks are not the way to go, and those involved have derailed a thread for others.

I'm not asking everyone to get along but please if you can't get along don't drag a thread (and the other members in that thread) into your argument.

Thanks
