Not all bad news for Spanish tourism
The article linked below was in the Euro Weekly News

We were in Benidorm a week ago and it was rather busy. I don't know how much money was being spent though

I have seen some amazing deals to stay in Benidorm. Probably by offering low prices they are getting the numbers back up. Which is all you do in a crisis so good luck to them. Maybe also the soon to be opened Alicante airport extension will bring in extra people as well.

Today we had lunch in our local Spanish seaside place and it was absolutely alive and had a great atmosphere. Could not get into the restaurant that we had planned to eat at, many others were full to bursting too so maybe the crisis is easing a little.

It's not just Benidorm that's on the up, here in inland Costa del Sol the tourists are returning.
Some friends of ours in a nearby village run a B&B, they are having to turn people away because they are completely booked up... and that's not happened for a couple of years now.
