Default NON EU Residence Card

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, the info I have read so far is very helpful.

Thinking of moving from Asia to Spain with my non EU wife, I understand a Schengen Visa is straight forward but was interested to know how we get her a residence card, I have read that I need to do my Padron and then NIE, and then she can apply could you guys please confirm.

Thinking of moving to the Calpe area is there any companies offering a helping hand if needed?

One last thing when she gets her residence card will she be able to fly to the UK with our Son ( British Passport holder ) without me to visit my family and some of her friends?

Thanks for your help
Ralph

The order, for you, MUST be NIE and/or 'residencia' (sign on the list of foreigners) then padron - you should NOT be on the padron before being resident.

Once you have your 'residencia', then she can apply for her residencia as the wife of an EU member.
