I wonder why ?

They're probably hidden away around the other side.

Re: No grapes for philip
So you will miss great news like:-
IF idleness were an Olympic sport, workshy Alan Fopps would be a Gold medallist. For not only has the 45-year-old never worked a stroke in his life, he’s now shelled out £200 of his benefits on a monkey to perform simple tasks – including scratching his BALLS!

Maybe because grapes are supposed to be bad for cystitis sufferers!!??
Why do they insist on calling it a "bladder infection"'?

Re: No grapes for philip
Yesterday I asked my 80 year old mum what she thought was really wrong with PP. I'm not that interested myself but she likes the royals and it was something to talk about.
In her view a man of his age most likely has prostate problems. This would mean difficulty in emptying his bladder as completely and as often as is necessary to prevent infection building up. Hardly surprising given the time he's had to spend 'on parade' this year on barges in the pouring rain and the like. Pretty hard to drink lots and keeping nipping out to the loo.
Apparently my grandfather had this. Once infection takes hold there is a strong risk of septicemia which could lead to death.
Fluid input and output has to be monitored (not a pretty sight) and the patient kept rested and protected from infection as much as possible.
Of course this is only speculation but it sounds plausible to me. It would explain the 'no visitors' to start with and the length of time has had to stay hospital last time. This is his third stay in 9 months.

I suspect that is as much detail as they want to give.

If it was your loved one in hospital, would you not want to visit?
It is no fun being in hospital, been there done that. My wife visited twice a day and my son flew from UK to spend time with me.
